We are seeking a Mid to Senior Level Plumbing Engineer and Project Manager with 5-10 years of design experience supporting residential and commercial real estate developments. This role is based in Fort Lauderdale, FL and focuses on delivering high-quality plumbing system designs for multi-story and high-rise projects.
The ideal candidate has experience working within MEP consulting environments and brings strong technical proficiency in Revit and CAD-based design platforms. This position combines engineering expertise with project oversight responsibilities, supporting projects from schematic design through construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead plumbing system design efforts for residential, commercial, and high-rise developments
- Produce detailed plumbing plans, riser diagrams, schedules, and construction documentation using Revit and CAD
- Perform system sizing calculations, fixture unit analysis, water supply and drainage design, and performance evaluations
- Coordinate plumbing layouts with mechanical, electrical, architectural, and structural disciplines
- Manage project schedules, technical deliverables, and quality control standards
- Provide construction phase support including RFI responses, submittal review, and site coordination
- Ensure compliance with IPC, UPC, and local building codes
- Maintain thorough documentation and communicate design updates to clients and project stakeholders
- 5-10 years of plumbing engineering design experience in residential and commercial real estate projects
- Experience working at an MEP consulting engineering firm
- Proficiency in Revit and CAD software (required)
- Strong understanding of plumbing codes, building systems, and high-rise design considerations
- Demonstrated project management and team coordination experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plumbing Engineering, or related discipline
- EIT certification or PE license preferred (or actively pursuing licensure)
- Strong organizational, analytical, and client communication skills
