Role Overview
We are seeking a Mid-to-Senior Mechanical Engineering Project Manager to lead HVAC and mechanical system design initiatives for high-rise, residential, and commercial developments in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This position blends technical engineering leadership with full-cycle project management responsibilities within an MEP consulting environment. You will oversee mechanical design execution from early planning through construction closeout while serving as a primary client liaison.
Key Responsibilities- Direct HVAC and mechanical system design for multi‑story residential and commercial projects.
- Manage full project lifecycle including scheduling, budgeting, and coordination.
- Prepare and review mechanical load calculations, equipment sizing, and technical drawings.
- Utilize Revit and CAD to develop construction‑ready documentation.
- Coordinate with electrical engineers, architects, structural teams, and consultants.
- Ensure compliance with Florida building codes and engineering standards.
- Provide construction‑phase services including RFIs, submittal review, and field support.
- Maintain quality control across all engineering deliverables.
- Lead client presentations and technical discussions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5–10+ years of MEP mechanical design experience.
- Experience managing high‑rise and commercial real estate developments.
- Active Florida PE license (required).
- Advanced Revit and CAD proficiency.
- Strong leadership and client communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
