Position: Mechanical Engineering Project Manager (Mid-Senior Tier)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Mid-to-Senior Mechanical Engineering Project Manager to lead HVAC and mechanical system design initiatives for high-rise, residential, and commercial developments in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This position blends technical engineering leadership with full-cycle project management responsibilities within an MEP consulting environment. You will oversee mechanical design execution from early planning through construction closeout while serving as a primary client liaison.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct HVAC and mechanical system design for multi‑story residential and commercial projects.
  • Manage full project lifecycle including scheduling, budgeting, and coordination.
  • Prepare and review mechanical load calculations, equipment sizing, and technical drawings.
  • Utilize Revit and CAD to develop construction‑ready documentation.
  • Coordinate with electrical engineers, architects, structural teams, and consultants.
  • Ensure compliance with Florida building codes and engineering standards.
  • Provide construction‑phase services including RFIs, submittal review, and field support.
  • Maintain quality control across all engineering deliverables.
  • Lead client presentations and technical discussions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5–10+ years of MEP mechanical design experience.
  • Experience managing high‑rise and commercial real estate developments.
  • Active Florida PE license (required).
  • Advanced Revit and CAD proficiency.
  • Strong leadership and client communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
