Modesjki and Masters, Inc., is seeking an experienced Highway Design Project Manager to lead and manage highway design projects in Florida. This role is ideal for a results-driven professional who thrives in both technical and leadership capacities, with a passion for delivering innovative transportation solutions for clients. As a Highway Design Engineer with Modjeski and Masters, you will work on a variety of challenging and rewarding highway engineering projects for a myriad of transportation clients.

As a Bridge Design Engineer with Modjeski and Masters, you will work on a variety of challenging and rewarding bridge engineering projects for a myriad of transportation clients. You'll have opportunities to interact directly with clients, become a valued partner on a variety of high-impact projects, and apply fresh insights at every stage of a bridge's life cycle. What We're Looking For
  • Registered PE in the State of Florida
  • Minimum of 15 years' FDOT Experience and Highway specific projects experience
  • Minimum of a BS degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Highway/Transportation Design from an ABET accredited college or university
  • Experience in pursuing and managing multi-discipline projects, including projects with bridge replacement, new bridge alignment, or bridge rehabilitation
  • Client Relationships with FDOT District Four and FDOT District Six
  • Proficient in Micro Station and Bentley Open Road Designer and familiarity with AASHTO
  • Ability to work in a team environment with a professional sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client needs
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to mentor junior engineers
  • Detail oriented with good oral and written communications skills and fluency in English
What You'll Do
  • Pursue and win projects with FDOT and local agency clients
  • Prepare proposals and marketing presentations
  • Manage multiple projects and project teams within budget and schedule
  • Develop preliminary details using CAD software and provide information to CAD technicians and/or junior engineers for development of contract plans related to design work
  • Lead and manage the planning, design, and delivery of highway and roadway projects from concept through construction
  • Oversee and coordinate project teams, ensuring work is completed on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with design standards
  • Serve as the primary client contact, fostering strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction
  • Provide technical oversight and quality assurance for roadway geometric design, drainage, traffic control, and related highway design elements
  • Develop and monitor project scopes, budgets, and schedules; prepare proposals and cost estimates
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers, promoting a culture of collaboration and growth
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and agencies to ensure project success
  • Perform roadway design tasks, and plan preparation utilizing Open Road Designer, from conception phase to final deliverable phase, including specifications package and cost estimate and post-design services
