Chen Moore and Associates is hiring an AutoCAD Designer. Candidates should be able to efficiently plan and organize workload, demonstrate success working with a team of professionals, a commitment to quality, good communication skills, and a positive work ethic. The AutoCAD Designer will work in the team for a variety of civil infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities include:
- Plans preparation of public works underground utilities projects, rehabilitation and stormwater improvement projects, and new site development projects
- Work closely with the engineer utilizing Autodesk Civil 3D to create construction documents for all aspects of civil engineering with a focus on water, sewer, and drainage systems, as well as roadway, paving and grading designs.
- Conform to appropriate CAD standards and best practices.
- Evaluate and implement CAD specifications defined by clients.
- Perform quantity take-offs.
- 5+ years of CAD experience on civil engineering projects with a civil engineering consulting firm.
- Experience with other design applications, such as GIS.
- Strong sense of urgency, project responsibility and initiative
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
