Instrumentation & Controls Engineer – Intermediate (Data Centers)

Jacobs is looking for an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to support the design, implementation, and optimization of control systems for data center facilities throughout the United States.

$69,500.00–$95,500.00 per year

• Design and develop P&IDs, sizing valves, and specifying instrumentation for data center control loops.
• Model control system design information and ensure compliance with building codes and industry standards.
• Coordinate work activities with architects, engineers, and discipline leads during project startup and commissioning.
• Provide on-site assistance during startup and coordinate with other staff to maintain schedule and technical quality.
• Develop options and optimizations for all aspects of process control, instrumentation, and automation in a collaborative, multi‑disciplinary team.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Control Systems, or Electrical Engineering.
• At least 2 years of experience working with Instrumentation and Control.
• Working knowledge of DDC, PLC, DCS, and other control applications.
• Experience working with Data Centers.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas.
