Hardware Electrical Design Engineer (Onsite Only) — Fort Lauderdale, FL

• Work under the supervision of senior engineers.
• Perform site visits and inspections.
• Review drawings, specifications and project submittals.
• Develop commissioning plans including functional performance test scripts under guidance of senior engineers.
• Document commissioning-related activities.
• Perform electrical load calculations for buildings.
• Support engineering consulting services for commissioning, design review, field inspection and field testing of building systems.
• Engage in learning the application of commissioning and inspections related to mechanical and domestic hot water systems.

• Experience:
  
  5-10 years
• BS in engineering, electrical
• Professional Engineer (PE) is highly desirable either upon joining or planned in the future
• Superior verbal communication and writing skills
• Proven project management skills
• Proven ability to engage well with external stakeholders (e.g. clients and design partners)
• Thorough knowledge of energy efficiency in large and complex buildings
• Thorough knowledge and experience with the Energy Code is highly desirable
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; basic AutoCAD and Revit skills
