School Faculty - High - St. Thomas Aquinas High School
St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida is looking to hire an energetic and creative Theology Teacher for the current 2025-26 school year. This teacher will be expected to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program for High School Theology. This candidate performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and tenets of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.
Salary will vary based on education and years of service.
- Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Theology or related field from an accredited United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) university/college. - Working towards attaining a Master’s degree in Theology or related field from an accredited United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) university/college.
- Excellent presentation skills with use of instructional technology, including iPads in the classroom; engages students through project-based learning.
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or similar forms is a plus.
- Excellent classroom management skills and demonstrated ability to engage students.
- Effective and strong oral and written English language communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
- Practicing Catholic in good standing who fully adheres to and models the Roman Catholic Church teachings in faith and moral.
In addition to the eligibility requirements indicated in the Archdiocese of Miami Policy "Creating and Maintaining a Safe Environment for Children and Vulnerable Adults,” the selected candidate must undergo a background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse and be granted a determination of eligibility as a condition of employment.
