Position: Open-Rank Faculty Positions in Clinical Psychology

Nova Southwestern University’s College of Psychology is seeking qualified applicants for two open-rank faculty positions. The areas of specialization are Psychological Assessment (Position #997516) and Child Psychology (Position #996526).

The successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and student mentorship. Faculty members will teach core psychology courses in the doctoral program, as well as electives in their areas of specialization. The teaching load will be determined by research productivity, service contributions, and administrative responsibilities. All candidates must actively engage in scholarship, maintain a consistent research agenda, develop peer-reviewed publications, and supervise student research.

The most competitive candidates will have the potential to secure grant funding to support their research.

Nova Southwestern University is a not-for-profit institution classified as an R1 institution by the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education and has also received Carnegie’s “Community Engagement” classification, highlighting its collaboration with the broader community. The Department of Clinical and School Psychology offers APA‑accredited Ph.D. and Psy.

D. programs in clinical psychology, an APA‑accredited Psy.

D. program in school psychology, and a specialist program in school psychology. The Department also houses two APA‑accredited pre‑doctoral internship programs and a postdoctoral residency. Students receive training at the Psychology Services Center, which provides services to children, adolescents, and adults through its general and faculty‑directed specialty clinical training programs.
