Role:
Temporary After‑Care Counselor (Non‑Exempt, Hourly).

Working hours:

Monday‑Friday, 3:00 PM‑5:45 PM. Position is not subject to grant funding.

• Work with children both indoors and outdoors.
• Participate in all activities with enthusiasm.
• Demonstrate patience and self‑control with children and other staff.
• Accept guidance and supervision.
• Assist in teaching or leading activities as assigned.
• Inform administrators of any problems or concerns.
• Follow all rules and regulations while setting a good example for children.
• Be knowledgeable about children’s health conditions and dietary restrictions.
• Assist children who may need extra time acclimating.
• Enforce safety rules and regulations, such as wearing facial coverings and maintaining social distancing.
• Work effectively with other counselors and staff.

Must work all days, Monday‑Friday 3:00‑5:45 PM.

1. Ability to orally communicate effectively with others.

• Ability to communicate effectively in writing, using the English language, without interpretation.
• Ability to work cooperatively with colleagues and supervisory staff at all levels.
• Ability to successfully complete the Level II Background Screening.

Must have completed 10th grade.

At least one (1) year of experience working with children.

Experience in a camp or child‑care program.

Background/Fingerprint screening required.
