Cardinal Gibbons High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida seeks a dynamic and knowledgeable AP Micro & Macro Economics Teacher to join our Social Studies Department. The ideal candidate will inspire students to think critically about economic systems, market behaviors, and global financial issues through interactive instruction, real-world application, and data-driven analysis.
This educator will design and deliver AP-aligned curriculum for both Micro and Macro Economics, foster academic excellence and ethical inquiry, and prepare students for success on the AP exams. Collaboration with colleagues, engagement with parents, and participation in the broader mission of the school are essential components of the role. Salary will vary based on certification and years of service.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in economics, Education, or a related field from an accredited institution required;
Master’s degree preferred. - Two or more years of teaching experience, preferably at the high school or AP level.
- Strong understanding of AP Microeconomics and AP Macroeconomics curricula and exam expectations.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
- Proficiency with educational technology and digital learning tools.
- Must have a professional demeanor, collaborative mindset, and commitment to the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church.
