Position: Landscape Architect / Designer

Threshold Landscape Workshop is a collaborative landscape architecture design studio dedicated to creating experientially rich landscapes of varying typologies, scales and complexities. Our work is focused on residential, commercial and hospitality projects in Florida coastal environments. We are currently working on projects in Fort Lauderdale, Miami and the Florida Keys that include historical hotel renovations, residential gardens and multi-acre rooftop landscapes.

Conveniently located in downtown Fort Lauderdale, we are seeking an immediate hire for a landscape architect/designer with minimum 3 years experience to work in our studio. Registration not required.

The ideal candidate is passionate and motivated, articulate and a creative problem-solver who thrives in a collaborative setting. The job requires strong verbal and graphic communication skills, including conceptual design, presentation graphics, hand drawing and construction documentation. Essential skills include project management, site design, grading design, construction documentation, and experience with regulatory processes and permitting.

Candidates should have a strong understanding of the design process, from conceptual design to construction documentation. Job duties include production of drawing sets, from early stages through project completion, and construction administration.

Experience and Skill Set:

  • Bachelor or Master of Landscape Architecture or Architecture
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience
  • Revit 2D drafting and 3D modeling proficiency desired
  • Technical skills in producing thoroughly detailed and coordinated construction documents
  • Creative thinker with attention to detail
  • Strong organizational, communication and time management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and work independently
  • Proficiency in Adobe suite – Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator
  • Proficiency in Lumion
  • Hand sketching and strong graphic skills
