Overview
We’re seeking a passionate and highly collaborative Senior Art Director (Video) to lead the visual direction of video marketing campaigns and original branded content produced in a state-of-the-art studio environment. This role brings strategic brand storytelling to life across short- and long-form video formats, spanning multiple genres and platforms. The ideal candidate has a proven track record delivering high-visibility video projects, with a portfolio that reflects exceptional craft, creative range, and the ability to translate strategic briefs into production-ready concepts.
This role partners closely with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders to ideate, pitch, and execute best-in-class creative work.
Location:
Hybrid (2–3 days/week) in Fort Lauderdale preferred; remote considered for candidates outside South Florida located in EST or CST.
- Translate brand and marketing strategy into executable video creative, including converting concepts and storyboards into production-ready shooting direction.
- Lead end-to-end art direction across production and post-production, including props, styling, set design, casting criteria, wardrobe, motion treatments, music direction, color, and finishing.
- Own creative pre-production documentation (Figma and PowerPoint), ensuring alignment, clarity, and version control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead studio kickoffs, pre-production meetings, and creative presentations for brand and stakeholder partners.
- Guide post-production through edit sessions and reviews, providing clear, actionable feedback.
- Act in a directing capacity on set as needed, guiding teams and talent performance.
- Create design mock-ups, visual comps, motion references, and AI-generated visuals to clarify creative direction.
- Maintain consistent brand standards across all video projects.
- Stay current on video content and technology trends and recommend innovative approaches.
- Deliver consistently high-quality creative output while balancing volume, timelines, and complexity.
- Bachelor’s degree in visual/graphic design, liberal arts, or related field.
- 6+ years of experience as an agency art director, studio art director, or creative video producer.
- Proven experience developing and delivering brand creative across multiple styles, genres, and platforms—especially video.
- A public portfolio showcasing high-visibility video work (required).
- Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite; design fluency strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated understanding of post-production processes, including motion design, animation, CGI, and VFX.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Strong experience translating creative briefs into video concepts that get produced.
- Proven leadership of creative vision across video, print, concept boards, storyboards, motion, and animation.
- Exceptional presentation, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while meeting deadlines.
- Strong ability to articulate creative rationale and unite teams around a shared objective.
- Passion for brand storytelling and a genuine love of pets.
