Construction Estimator

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Construction Estimator specializing in Commercial Interiors, Metal Framing, Drywall, and Finishes. This role is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in quantity takeoffs, bid preparation, and cost analysis within the commercial interiors and specialty subcontracting space. The ideal candidate understands the complexities of high-volume drywall packages, interior build-outs, tenant improvements, and finish scopes, and can confidently manage multiple bids while maintaining accuracy and competitive pricing.

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for metal framing, drywall systems, acoustic ceilings, and interior finishes
• Perform accurate quantity takeoffs using digital estimating software
• Analyze architectural drawings, specifications, and bid documents
• Develop comprehensive bid proposals and scope breakdowns
• Identify value engineering opportunities to remain competitive
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and supplier pricing
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Operations teams during project handoff
• Track historical cost data to improve future bid accuracy
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and scope reviews
• Ensure estimates align with project schedules and production capacity

• 3+ years of experience as a Construction Estimator in commercial interiors or drywall
• Strong knowledge of metal framing systems, drywall assemblies, and finishing scopes
• Experience with on-screen takeoff software (Plan Swift, Bluebeam, OST, or similar)
• Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings
• Familiarity with Division 9 and interior trade scopes
• Strong understanding of material pricing and labor production rates
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple bids in a fast-paced environment
• Experience working on tenant improvements, office build-outs, healthcare interiors, or retail projects preferred
