ConstructabilitySpecialist Role
In this role you will enable projects to meet their design intent while maintaining schedule, safety, and budget. Your responsibilities include:
- Perform constructability and biddability reviews.
- Conduct field reviews for mainline and expansion projects.
- Analyze detailed traffic control plans for each proposed phase.
- Assess construction schedules and recommend resolutions for scheduling issues.
- Coordinate initial utility studies prior to construction.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification.
- Experience with Florida DOT or Florida Turnpike projects.
- Background in roadway construction.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to suggest viable solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive construction experience on multidisciplinary projects.
- Fundamental understanding of construction contracts and relevant codes and laws.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications and identify discrepancies.
- Team‑oriented mindset and strong collaboration skills.
- Computer literacy; experience with Microsoft Office, Primavera, or related construction packages.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Commitment to participating actively in our employee‑owned culture.
