Summer Camp Counselor

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:45am-5:00pm (includes paid training as scheduled)

Pay Rate: $20.00/hr.

• Provides direct supervision, care, and teaching to children/young adults with Developmental Disabilities (ages 3-22)
• Work as a team to provide a safe environment.
• Share your own skills and interests.
• Create a bond with those you support.
• Help children to participate in fun activities and lessons and field trips.
• Provide assistance in all areas of self-care, hygiene and toileting.
• Engage children in recreational, academic, social skills, fitness and other activities.
• Assists children to manage their behaviors through prevention strategies, implementation of individual behavior plans, de‑escalation and crisis-intervention strategies.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have a minimum of 1 year of professional experience working with children (preferably children with developmental disabilities and behavioral challenges).
• Must successfully complete required screening:
  Level II background check, physical and drug screen.
• Must complete Professional Crisis Management Training (provided).
