Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Oakland Park, Florida. This position is ideal for professionals who excel in handling corporate tax matters, general ledger tasks, and job costing. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting the accounting department's overall operations.

Responsibilities:

- Perform general ledger reconciliations and ensure accuracy in financial records.

- Prepare and manage corporate tax returns and sales tax filings.

- Record and review journal entries to maintain compliance with accounting standards.

- Provide support for job costing activities related to the company's operations.

- Utilize Deltek Computer Ease software to manage accounting processes efficiently.

- Collaborate with the accounting team to streamline workflows and enhance accuracy.

- Analyze financial data to assist in decision-making and reporting.

- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and other financial policies.

- Maintain organized and detailed records of all accounting transactions.

- Assist with special projects as needed to support the department's goals. Requirements - Proven experience in corporate tax preparation and sales tax filings.

- Strong knowledge of general ledger processes and journal entries.

- Familiarity with Deltek Computer Ease software or similar accounting systems.

- Ability to perform job costing tasks effectively.

- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.

- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus, but not required.

- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial reporting.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
