Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This role is ideal for professionals with expertise in financial consolidations, multi-currency accounting, and intercompany transactions. Based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, this position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

- Perform month-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.

- Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.

- Handle intercompany accounting tasks, including eliminations and reconciliations across multiple entities.

- Oversee multi-currency translations and ensure compliance with GAAP standards.

- Conduct comprehensive bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.

- Utilize Workday software to streamline accounting processes and generate reports.

- Prepare consolidated financial statements and ensure proper documentation.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address accounting discrepancies and resolve issues.

- Maintain adherence to organizational accounting standards and best practices.

- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Requirements - Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting or a related field.

- Proficiency in month-end close processes and general ledger management.

- Strong knowledge of journal entries, account reconciliations, and bank reconciliations.

- Expertise in intercompany accounting, including eliminations and reconciliations.

- Experience with multi-currency accounting and consolidations.

- Familiarity with GAAP standards and their application in financial reporting.

- Advanced skills in Workday or similar accounting software.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to manage complex financial data.
