** Position Overview**:

The Senior Accountant will perform key activities related to the monthly closing cycle including reconciliations, journal entries, supporting schedules and consolidations. This position will report to the Accounting Manager and interact with other members of Finance and Internal Audit.

** Essential Job Functions
*** Reconcile ACH transactions
* Reconcile bank accounts
* Reconcile investments
* Reconcile data between various systems
* Run system reports utilized in closing cycle
* Maintain and update schedules needed for closing cycle
* Assist with monthly analysis (G&A analysis, account fluctuations, etc.)
* Prepare recurring and non-recurring journal entries
* Upload Accounts Payable data to the General Ledger
* Run consolidations at various levels
* Fulfill external auditors requests
* Assist with preparation or review 10Q/10K as needed
* Assist with the review of Investor Relations materials
* Assist other team-members as needed
* Complete special projects as assigned
* Fulfill internal auditors requests
* Have regular and reliable attendance
* Adhere to policies and procedures of employee handbook
** Skill, Experience and Licensure Requirements
*** 3-4 years of Accounting experience
* Bachelors degree or higher with a major in Accounting
* Experience preparing  reconciliations and journal entries
* Experience working with general ledger and consolidation applications
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications (Excel, Word, Outlook,)
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Works well under pressure with the ability to multi-task and prioritize in order to meet deadlines
* Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong interpersonal skills, ability to effectively interact with employees of all levels

* Coachable individual with the ability to take specific direction and leverage time spent with supervisor.
* A confident and organized individual who is methodical in his/her approach to completing tasks
* Individual with a positive attitude who is professional, enthusiastic, reliable and can easily adapt to change
