Position SummaryCarb Americas is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations at our corporate headquarters in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This role works closely with the Controller and plays a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting the monthly close, and managing intercompany activity across our international supply chain.
This is a full-time, in-office position.
Key Responsibilities- Perform daily accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries
- Assist the Controller with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
- Prepare and reconcile intercompany transactions
- Maintain fixed asset accounting, including additions, disposals, and monthly depreciation
- Support preparation of financial reports and schedules
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and international affiliates
- Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 1–3 years of accounting experience (AP/AR or general accounting); produce or agriculture industry experience is a plus
- Working knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with FAMOUS software is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required
- This is an in-office position based at our Corporate Headquarters in Fort Lauderdale, FL
