Accounting Assistant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team in Sunrise, Florida. This part-time role offers 16-24 hours per week, with the potential to transition into a long-term position. As a Contract to long-term opportunity, this position is ideal for candidates seeking ongoing growth in a dynamic accounting environment.

Responsibilities:

- Enter bank transactions and accounts payable data into the accounting system with precision and efficiency.

- Process and maintain comprehensive records of credit card transactions, ensuring all details are up-to-date.

- Support the reconciliation of financial accounts by reviewing and verifying discrepancies.

- Assist in monitoring accounts receivable aging and follow up on outstanding balances.

- Investigate and document discrepancies in customer payments, providing clear and accurate records.

- Utilize Sage accounting software to perform key financial tasks and ensure data accuracy.

- Review portal transactions and verify records to ensure compliance with company standards. Requirements - At least 1 year of experience in accounting or a related field.

- Proficiency in accounts receivable processes and bank reconciliations.

- Strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

- Familiarity with credit card transaction processing and record-keeping.

- Experience using Sage accounting software or similar systems.

- Ability to research and resolve discrepancies in customer payments.

- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
