Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Lauderdale Lakes, Florida. This is a Contract to permanent position, offering an opportunity to grow within the organization while contributing to essential financial operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a commitment to accuracy in managing accounts payable tasks.

Responsibilities:

- Process and approve invoices accurately and in a timely manner.

- Perform three-way matching for purchase orders, receipts, and invoices.

- Prepare and submit sales tax returns in compliance with state regulations.

- Handle credit card and check payment processing efficiently.

- Reconcile prepaid accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting.

- Maintain organized records of accounts payable transactions.

- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth operations.

- Support monthly and annual financial close processes.

- Verify and update vendor information in the accounting system. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar role.

- Proficiency in performing three-way matching for invoices.

- Knowledge of sales tax regulations and experience in preparing returns.

- Familiarity with credit card and check payment processing.

- Ability to reconcile prepaid accounts and ensure financial accuracy.

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Competency in using accounting software and tools.

- Excellent communication skills to liaise with vendors and internal teams.
