OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and experienced Family Office Associate to join our team, reporting to a Family Office Manager.
Responsibilities- Performing basic bookkeeping functions on a daily, weekly, monthly basis; including:
- Creating new vendors
- Recording vendor invoices in the general ledger as accounts payable
- Prepare payments (checks, ACH, wires) of vendor invoices and submit for review
- Recording cash movement transactions from financial institutions
- Record purchase of assets, capital improvements
- Prepare journal entries for payroll, accruals and prepaid expenses
- Credit card statement processing – system input and review of supporting documentation
- Meticulous maintenance of client files/records in shared network folders
- Daily tracking and following up on transactions, including vendor maintenance
- Completing vendor, credit and other applications on behalf of clients
- Requesting completed W9 and NDA forms from vendors
- Communicating with vendors and following up on inquiries
- Processing 1099s
- Collecting invoices for annual sales tax return
- Responding promptly to client’s various requests
- Familiarity with financial statements
- Ad hoc analysis and reporting
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- 2+ years’ accounting experience focusing on A/P, Journal Entries, Bank Reconciliations and Data Entry
- Strong proficiency in Excel (including pivot tables and v-lookups)
- Expeditious and accurate data entry skills
- Highly motivated self-starter; independent worker
- Able to communicate well (both verbal and written) and build relationships within teams
- Possesses core self-management skills: time management, organization, prioritization, resourcefulness, problem-solving
- Detail oriented, Intelligent;
Inquisitive - Exhibits accountability and ownership
- Strive for continuous improvement
- Experience with MS Dynamics, Net Suite, and/or Sales Force
- Family Office Experience preferred
