Position Summary
The Warehouse Specialist performs a variety of warehousing duties including the following: verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages, routing materials to prescribed storage locations. The Warehouse Specialist is also responsible for storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods, rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials, examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage, removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment.
EssentialFunctions Of The Position
- Verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents.
- Note and report discrepancies and obvious damages.
- Route materials to prescribed storage locations, storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods.
- Rearrange and conduct inventory of stored materials/stock.
- Examine stored materials and report deterioration and damage.
- Remove material from storage and prepare it for shipment.
- Operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.
- Keep records and compile stock reports.
- Ensure that all supply requirements are processed accurately and timely.
- Use hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things.
- Must be adaptable, flexible, and able to adjust to new or changing instructions.
- Must be able to multi-task and complete assignments accurately and on time.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
No direct supervisory duties.
Physical Demands- Required to walk, stand, sit and move about the property for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Required to performs physical activities that require considerable use of the arms and legs and moving the entire body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, stooping to handle materials.
- Indoor/Outdoor; exposure to external environmental conditions possible.
- Noise level can range from minimal to intense.
- PPE will be worn in designated areas as required.
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Must have warehousing experience.
- Must have ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
- Ability to multitask and demonstrate attention to detail.
- Must be reliable, responsible, and able to fulfill obligations.
- Possess a Valid Drivers’ License.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be able to pass a National Criminal Background Check.
- Must pass the National Agency Background Check and obtain computer access.
This is your primary position. Alternate positions will only be engaged at the direction of the supervisor.
The employee must be dependable and have strong communication skills while meeting project deadlines. Timesheets must be completed daily, ensuring that you accurately record your actual work hours. Timely and precise timesheet entries are essential for maintaining our records and ensuring smooth operations. Additionally, please remember to dress appropriately for your shift and be punctual. Adhering to these standards helps us maintain a professional work environment and provides the best experience for our clients and colleagues.
