Position: (Temp) CIF Stock Clerk

Position Summary

The Stock Clerk is responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing equipment, materials, supplies, merchandise, or tools, and compiles stock records of items in the stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard. The Stock Clerk also ensures that requirements are processed accurately and in a timely manner, receives, loads, and conducts inventories. Fills out paperwork manually when required. Quality checks data.

Essential Functions of the Position
  • Verifies receipt of items on requisition or invoice.
  • Manages inventory and storage operations, encompassing sensitive items, cataloging, property utilization, customer reconciliations, requisitions, and the issue and receipt of supply items, in addition to conducting research and analysis related to depot, local, and other supply activities. Conducts physical inventory counts, material inspections, and location survey checks.
  • Assists in a variety of administrative matters.
  • Maintains a wide variety of records.
  • Demonstrates routine office functions with attention to detail.
  • Examines stock to verify conformance to specifications, stores articles in bins, on floor or on shelves, according to identifying information, such as style, size, or type of material.
  • Fills orders or issues supplies from stock, prepares periodic, special, or perpetual inventory of items, counts stock and other items, and requisitions articles to fill incoming orders, issues stock and other items to customers.
  • Compiles reports on use of stock handling equipment, adjustments of inventory counts and stock records, damage to stock, location changes, and refusal of shipments.
  • Marks identifying codes, figures, or letters on items and/or forms.
  • Keeps records of material issued.
  • Performs preventive maintenance on vehicles/equipment.
  • Proficient in writing emails and using Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
  • Must be adaptable, flexible, and able to adjust to new or changing instructions.
  • Must be able to multi-task and complete assignments accurately and on time.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Performs other duties in accordance with requirements as directed.
  • Must possess high school diploma or equivalent.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • No direct supervisory responsibilities.
Physical Demands
  • Required to walk, stand, sit and move for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift, up to 50 pounds, be in good physical condition and be able to work in all weather conditions.
Work Environment
  • May be exposed to inclement/extreme weather conditions.
  • Noise level can range from minimal to intense, depending on the location.
Minimum Qualifications
  • May need to gain access to ISM and successfully navigate modules.
  • Must be able to learn NSNs, LINs, and pattern differences.
  • May take and pass IOTV certification.
  • Must be able to pass the licensing tests to operate this MHE.
  • Must perform operator level PMCS and document accurately.
  • Must possess and present a valid state Real I.D. Driver’s License.
  • Must be able to conduct inventory counting proficiently.
  • Must be able to speak, write, read, understand English, and follow written/verbal directions.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be a self‑starter; able to work as a team or independently, with limited supervision.
  • Must be knowledgeable with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams).
  • Must be adaptable, flexible, and able to adjust to new or changing instructions.
  • Must be able to multi‑task and complete assignments accurately and on time.
  • Must be able to maintain high standards of confidentiality.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours to accommodate requirements, sometimes under short notice, to include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Overtime may be required.
  • Employee must complete timesheets daily, ensuring accurate data, both manually and via required system.
  • Must submit to and pass random drug and/or alcohol testing.
  • Must perform other duties in accordance with requirements as directed.
Security Requirements
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be able to pass a National Criminal Background Check.
  • Must pass the National Agency Background Check and obtain computer access.
  • May be required to obtain a CAC.
