Driver will primarily be responsible for operating a shuttle bus to safely transport passengers to and from a heavy industrial construction site prior to and after shift is completed.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBLITIES- Safely transport company employees via shuttle bus to and from the construction site from the dedicated parking area nearby
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, log defects, and report any issues promptly to Project Superintendent or Project Manager
- Maintain records of maintenance and repair activities
- Interact professionally with passengers, customers and other employees at various locations
- Assist with other tasks on construction site as needed and requested by the Project Superintendent
- Assist with building and grounds maintenance as requested
- Adhere strictly to all DOT, OSHA, and company safety regulations
- Operate vehicle in a safe manner; obeying all federal, state, and local traffic laws and posted speed limits at all times
- Must possess a valid and current Class A Commercial Driver’s License or Class B Driver’s License with Passenger endorsement
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience
- Clean Driving Record and insurability
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to pass a D.O.T. physical examination
- Be able to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds for long periods of time
- Coordinate eye-hand movements with control and precision
- Use hands and fingers fully; reach for, manipulate, and feel objects; stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl
- Climb and maintain body balance on ladders and see and hear well (either naturally or with correction)
- Stoop, lay, bend or squat for long periods of time
- Passed DOT medical exam
- May be exposed to fumes, dust or other airborne particles, and loud noises on a heavy industrial construction site
- May be exposed to extreme outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity
- Some overtime, shiftwork, holidays and weekends may be required
