Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatrics position requiring an active IA or compact RN license and extensive pediatric experience.

• Work in a pediatric unit within a hospital setting
• Provide care for pediatric patients with a nurse to patient ratio of 1:3
• Night shifts from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM, with potential for rotating days and nights if preferred
• On-call required for scheduled shifts as needed by the department or hospital
• Travelers may be required to float within the same discipline across nearby campuses
• Use of Vapotherm equipment is required
• EMR system used is Epic, Epic experience preferred
• Role involves collaborating as part of an interdisciplinary care team
• Weekly orientation sessions are offered every Monday
• Local candidates are not eligible; must live more than 60 miles from the facility
• References from a supervisor or manager within the last 24 months are preferred
• Adherence to pediatric-specific skills checklist required
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position

• Active IA or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years recent pediatric RN experience required
• Completion of at least 1 previous travel contract required
• Current certifications required: BLS (AHA/ARC), ACLS (AHA/ARC), PALS (AHA/ARC), NRP
• Comfortable floating to general Med Surg units as needed
• Experience with Vapotherm equipment is required
• Driver's license required
