Job Summary

Operates a forklift to load, unload, pick, put-away, consolidate, stack and stage products to and from various locations including machines, loading docks, trucks and storage areas

Summary of Essential Job Functions
  • Operates a forklift to load, unload, pick, put-away, consolidate, stack and stage products
  • Identify inventory issues and communicate issues to management
  • Assist in performing inventory audits and annual physical inventory counts
  • Inspect product for damage and communicate irregularities to management
  • Ensure internal and external customer satisfaction
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area
  • Maintain warehouse security
  • Obtains production schedule and/or shipping orders and then identifies, verifies, and transports requested materials or product materials accordingly.
  • Applies understanding of machine loading capacity and loading schedule, ensuring prompt and efficient delivery of required items.
  • Uses protective materials and strapping equipment to protect and secure loads as necessary; once delivered, removes strapping and wrapping, then safely disposes of waste materials in designated containers or areas.
  • Reports any problems with materials or transportation to supervisor.
  • Manages and piles drums, skids, pallets, and other supplies in specified areas.
  • Reports equipment service needs to supervisor as necessary
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Knowledge and ability to operate a forklift
  • Basic math and reading skills
  • Computer skills, i.e. Microsoft Excel
  • Critical thinking, multi-tasking and troubleshooting skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Ability to move and lift up to 50-pound wooden pallet or skid Attention to detail
Physical Demands & Work Environment
  • Work Schedule:

    7:00pm-7:00am, 12-hour shifts (36 / 48 hours per week alternating), which includes nights, weekends, holidays and overtime.
  • Ability to operate a forklift
  • Ability to maintain single-task focus and situational awareness
  • Ability to move and lift up to 50-pound wooden pallet or skid
  • This position primarily works in a warehouse environment
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position up to 60% of shift, walk extended distances, ascend/descend stairs as necessary, close/distance vision, reaching with hands and arms
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Forklift experience preferred
