Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring flexibility to cover various shifts and advanced perinatal certifications.
Responsibilities- Work in a Labor & Delivery unit with coverage for L&D, Postpartum, and newborn care
- Patient population includes laboring mothers, postpartum patients, and newborns
- Average of 40 deliveries and 6 C-sections per month
- 12-hour day shifts with flexibility to work other shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
- May be required to float to other hospital departments within competency
- Possibility to serve as charge nurse after appropriate training
- Travelers may be expected to handle a patient load or provide task-based support in floated departments based on experience and competence
- Orientation takes place only on Mondays; delays in compliance may result in a later start date
- May occasionally function as a charge nurse after appropriate training
- Scrub or dress code details available upon offer
- Active AZ or compact RN license required
- Minimum 5 years of recent experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn care in a healthcare setting
- Current certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS or ALSO, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) or RNC-EFM
- Ability to work flexible schedule including holidays and weekends
