JOB SUMMARY
:
Works with all maintenance facilities, repairing buildings throughout the park, and may include building new projects as requested. Carpentry experience preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Assists facilities manager in all building projects.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot clearly, calmly, and safely in the presence of guests and co-workers.
  • Ensure state/federal regulations are adhered to.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment at all times.
  • Operate within the policies and procedures of Elitch Gardens.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Solid working knowledge and experience in basic carpentry, demolition, plumbing and electricity.
  • Must be able to read, understand, and implement maintenance and inspection procedures.
  • Remodel skills would be a plus.
  • In this position you must possess oral and written English skills and must be able to communicate with Guests and fellow Team Members effectively.
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
  • Required to work in various weather conditions.
  • Available to work overtime.
  • Available to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
  • Attention to detail.

Physical Demands
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand for long periods, walk, use hands, and reach with hands and arms.
  • You will be working around heavy dust, water, and walk on uneven surfaces. Due to dust, dirt, fumes and noise, some work requires respirators and safety clothing.
  • Occasionally required to sit, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with the assistance of a fellow Team Member.
  • Ability to work at heights up to 200’ above grade.
  • Ability to distinguish color.
  • Possess 20/20 corrected vision. (Corrective lens, if required, must be worn while on duty).
  • Specific vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Possess normal or average corrected hearing. (Defined as 25 decibels or better in the frequency range of 500HZ-4000HZ considered normal speech frequency range). (If a corrective device is needed to achieve this range, it must be worn while on duty)
