Construction Technician Job Description
The role involves installing and securing exterior metal wall panels on commercial buildings. It requires preparing construction sites, materials, and tools, working at heights with various elevated platforms such as boom lifts, scissor lifts, and swing stages, and adhering to strict OSHA safety guidelines.
Responsibilities- Install and secure exterior metal wall panels on commercial buildings.
- Prepare construction sites, materials, and tools.
- Work at heights using elevated platforms like boom lifts, scissor lifts, and swing stages.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment.
- Perform construction site cleanup.
- Erect scaffolding.
- Strictly follow OSHA safety guidelines.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Ability to read a tape measure.
- Excellent communication and reliability.
- Minimum of 1 year of construction experience, with a preference for commercial construction (carpentry, roofing, demolition, concrete, etc.).
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with metal stud framing, sheet metal cutting, demolition, material handling, waterproofing, caulking, siding installation, and carpentry.
- Experience operating scissor lifts, boom lifts, forklifts, and erecting scaffolding.
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus.
- ACM Panel installation experience is a plus.

WorkEnvironment
The work environment involves working at significant heights, sometimes 300 ft. or more, on a swing stage. You will be part of a crew ranging from 5-20 people, depending on the job size, and sites may last from 6-12 months. A collaborative work environment is essential, and problem solvers who can present solutions, not just problems, are valued. The first day includes a 6-hour safety orientation, followed by on-site training.
The first 30 days involve shadowing a veteran and performing various tasks.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Collins, CO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 – $27.00/hr.
