Repair and Tool Technician

Overview

Repair and Tool Technician role at The Home Depot. This position is responsible for the evaluation and repair of small engines, outdoor power equipment and handheld electrical devices. Technicians may work in stores with Tool Rental Centers or in repair centers, providing service to customers and maintaining equipment.

• Evaluate and repair small engines, outdoor power equipment and handheld electrical devices.
• Provide equipment recommendations and ensure units are maintained.
• In-store responsibilities include serving Tool Rental customers, writing customer contracts and invoices for equipment rental and tool repairs, verifying that tools operate properly, and demonstrating proper use when needed.
• Support day-to-day operation and maintenance of equipment in the Tool Rental department.
• In non-store locations, ensure units are repaired, tested for repair quality and cleaned before returning to the originating store.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of all tools and effectively manage tool inventory by repairing and maintaining tools as necessary.
• Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.

• Base pay range: $21.50/hr - $21.50/hr
