About This Role

Work will consist of installations, alterations, additions, and/or repairs of electrical systems, and associated materials and equipment within the high‑voltage substation electrical industry.

Position requires 100% travel anywhere throughout the Midwest

Pay: This is a non‑exempt hourly role. The pay range is $27.69–$46.86 per hour.

What You’ll Do
  • Install and assemble high‑voltage equipment such as transformers, breakers, switches, bus work, and control panels.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and construction plans.
  • Build grounding systems, conduit runs, cable trays, and structural supports.
  • Pull, terminate, and label control wiring and power cables.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment as required.
  • Perform equipment testing, inspections, and quality checks.
  • Follow all safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and industry regulations.
  • Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other trades on‑site.
  • Document work performed and report progress or issues to leadership.
What You’ll Bring
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years of previous substation construction or equivalent experience.
  • Active, valid Driver’s License.
  • Valid CDL A is preferred.
  • Line School Certificate or transcripts preferred.
