We offer:
- 10‑week training period – 8 weeks in the field working side by side with a dedicated trainer & 2 weeks classroom‑based training in Loveland, CO.
- 3 days off per week! After completion of training, your schedule will consist of 4 shifts per week at 10‑hour days based on workload demand.

The Field Service Technician I is responsible for the delivery of high‑quality customer service, performing preventative maintenance, routine repair, and calibration/verification of Hach devices located at our customer sites. The customer base for this role is anticipated to be a combination of municipal (drinking and wastewater treatment facilities) and industrial (power plants and food & beverage plants).
This position is part of the North America Field Service Team located in Loveland, CO and will be remote.
In this role, you will:- Perform preventative maintenance, routine repair, and calibration/verification of instrumentation using established company standard work.
- Promote a positive customer experience and serve as on‑site customer contact for technical and service‑related problems.
- Submit prompt, accurate service reports that affect billing, inventory, instrument history, and instrument failure.
- Follow safe work practices according to company policy.
- Work in a wide variety of municipal and industrial settings, including but not limited to drinking water & wastewater treatment facilities, refineries, chemical manufacturing plants, food & beverage processing facilities, etc. Some applications may involve instrument servicing in NEC hazardous locations (Class I Division 2).
- Execute administrative activities in support of service visits.
- Travel 50‑75% within a 2‑hour radius of Loveland, CO – expect on average 1–3 nights away each week with company‑paid accommodations and meals.
- HS Diploma required;
Associates/Technical degree preferred, or a combination of education and experience. - Basic mechanical aptitude – experience with preventative maintenance and technical diagnostics/repair.
- 2 or more years of field service experience and/or customer‑facing roles preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record required.
- This position requires daily travel to customer sites, typically within a 2‑hour radius of the home office.
- On average, 50% of weekly travel will include overnight stays.
- Occasional travel to other states within the region is expected, with trips lasting up to one week at a time.
The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. The compensation range for this role is $30.00 – $32.00 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Incentive Pay.
