AboutEarly Stage Development
Early Stage Development is part of Research & Development. This team provides formulation and analytical work to develop new products at its earliest stage. The typical tasks in Early-Stage Development often undergo changes in priorities. We focus on developing formulations and analytical methods to support early stage projects. This research and development work is rewarding, as our team is the first to characterize and create both formulations and analytical techniques.
The dynamic environment offers many opportunities for scientists to grow quickly.
The nature of business is that priorities can shift according to the needs of the company/department needs. Therefore, the work described below is a sampling of the kinds of work we expect this position to entail:
- Work with scientists/manager to support ongoing and applicable development projects.
- Assist managers/scientists in identifying opportunities for increasing department efficiency.
- Assist with general laboratory tasks such as cleaning of glassware, pipettes, balance verifications, ordering lab supplies, checking in samples, and archiving of notebooks.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Basic knowledge of laboratory principles and procedures.
- Knowledge of spectroscopic and chromatographic techniques.
- Good documentation skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to understand complex systems.
- Effective verbal and written communication.
- Willingness to maintain a regular and predictable work schedule
- Proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently as well as co-operatively within a team environment.
- Knowledge of Pharmaceutical analytical labs and willingness to learn good scientific practices with interest in the pharmaceutical industry preferred.

- Pursuing a degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry or related field.
- Have achieved an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) or higher.
- Work is performed primarily in a laboratory environment but could include office as well.
- Dress is laboratory safety: long pants, toe covered material resistant shoes but business- or business-casual dress may be required on occasion. PPE will be provided.
- Pay: $19.00 per hour
