Overview
UCHealth Mountain Crest Behavioral Health Center invites a PRN Family Nurse Practitioner who demonstrates empathy, talent, drive, and a "patients first" mentality to join an excellent opportunity.
Responsibilities- Contribute to the multidisciplinary inpatient psychiatric team by providing care for patients with identified medical needs.
- Complete admission history and physicals for all inpatient psychiatric patients ages 13 and older.
- Manage ongoing acute and chronic medical needs, including transfer to a higher level of care if needed.
- Work 24/7, including weekends and holidays, covering hours between 8AM - 8PM.
- Communicate effectively, working autonomously or on diverse teams with excellent written and verbal communication.
- Maintain full prescriptive authority or work toward full prescriptive authority for consideration.
- Master's degree in Nursing and graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Certification from ANCC, AANPCB, AACN, or equivalent; must be maintained throughout employment.
- Unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Colorado or compact privileges under the multi‑state Nurse Licensure Compact.
- Unrestricted medical staff membership with appropriate practice privileges.
- Unrestricted DEA permit to prescribe all commonly prescribed medications.
- Eligible to provide reimbursable services, maintain provider status with Medicare and Medicaid, and free of sanctions from HHS/OIG or GSA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Provisional prescriptive authority working toward full prescriptive authority or full prescriptive authority.
- Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
- Unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant in Colorado.
- Physician Assistant Certification (PA‑C) maintained throughout employment.
- Unrestricted DEA permit to prescribe all commonly prescribed medications.
- Eligible to provide reimbursable services, maintain provider status with Medicare and Medicaid, and free of sanctions from HHS/OIG or GSA.
- Unrestricted medical staff membership with appropriate practice privileges.
- Prescriptive authority and BLS/ACLS certification.
