RN – Adolescent Behavioral Health

Summit Stone Health Partners is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide specialized care for adolescents 12‑17 with mental health disorders, emotional challenges, or behavioral issues.

• Longview Campus, Fort Collins, Colorado
• Base pay: $35.00/hr – $42.00/hr
• Shift differential: up to $7.00/hr for evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
• Night shift positions available (36 hours per week, 12‑hour shifts)

An Adolescent Psychiatric Registered Nurse collaborates with a multidisciplinary team in the Adolescent Crisis Stabilization Unit to assess, treat, and support young patients in managing conditions such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, substance use, or trauma‑related disorders. The RN promotes emotional well‑being, manages mental health conditions, and supports recovery through collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

• Provides clinical assessment and problem identification, crisis interventions, documents significant interactions, and maintains clinical charts and reporting data.
• Administers medication, evaluates and monitors clients for medication side effects, and audits medication disposal according to state regulations.
• Coordinates, consults, and problem solves medical care and intervention with other team members and providers.
• Screen and evaluate lab reports, refer abnormalities to the provider, and develop, implement, and maintain a medication administration system.
• Educates clients and consumers on medications and documents progress notes on therapy and medications.

• Unencumbered Colorado license as a registered nurse
• Colorado or Compact licensed nurse in good standing in state of licensure required
• Valid Colorado driver’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire and a clean driving record required
• DORA license or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire required
• Basic Life Support Certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire

• Experience specific with adolescents preferred
• 1 year experience in a behavioral health setting
• Bilingual or bi‑cultural preferred

This position is subject to a mandatory background check through the Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS) TRAILS database to determine whether an individual has any substantiated cases of child abuse or neglect.
