The Tinning Technician is responsible for assembling thin gauge steel on buildings around windows, vents and doors.
Role and Responsibilities- Ability to measure building to make precise cuts using electric tin snips, handheld tin snips, screw guns and razor blades for proper fit.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently.
- Ability to lift heavy items on and off a ladder.
- Safety conscious.
- Ability to problem solve.
- A willingness to cross train and assist in other shop functions as needed.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to learn technical aspects of assigned responsibilities quickly.
- Self‑motivated with good time management skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1‑year plus in manufacturing environment.
- Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 50 lbs frequently and 100 lbs occasionally; prolonged, extensive, or considerable standing/walking/sitting; manual dexterity and mobility; considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching; visual and auditory acuity. - Working Conditions:
Shop and office, potentially a high‑stress environment with prolonged hours; significant time spent in a manufacturing environment.
