Field Service Technician – High Voltage Test Equipment

Full-Time | Permanent

Fort Collins, CO | Onsite

Salary: $30–$35/hour

• Repair, calibrate, and maintain high-voltage test equipment at company facilities and customer sites
• Perform equipment bring-up, calibration, and final testing prior to shipment
• Troubleshoot to the component level, including soldering and electronic repair
• Create and deliver accurate service and calibration documentation for customers
• Provide remote technical support via phone, email, and Microsoft Teams
• Support off-site service centers with diagnostics and pre-repair assessments
• Partner with Engineering on technical issues, design feedback, and ECO implementation
• Collaborate with Service Management and Sales to resolve customer needs efficiently
• Identify non-repairable parts, condemn as necessary, and manage inventory returns
• Follow documented procedures in compliance with ISO standards
• Deliver high-quality, zero-defect service with a strong customer focus

• Associate’s degree in Electronics or 2+ years of equivalent hands-on experience
• Strong electronics fundamentals and ability to read and interpret schematics
• Experience using electronic test equipment (DMMs, oscilloscopes, waveform generators, HV probes)
• Ability to work independently while knowing when to escalate issues
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for customer and technical interactions
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft operating systems and software
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

• Develop specialized high-voltage expertise with training and hands-on experience

• Approximately 18 trips per year, primarily within the U.S.
• Occasional international travel to Canada and Mexico
• Mix of planned and reactive service visits
• Overtime expected during travel, as service days often exceed 8 hours
• Comfort with variable schedules based on customer and service needs

• Salary: $30–$35 per hour
