The Reflections Coordinator is responsible for managing all facets of service to address resident care needs in the Memory Care Community. The Reflections Coordinator hires, trains, supervises and schedules the caregivers and med techs. The Reflections Coordinator monitors resident care needs, alerts the Wellness Director when a resident changes condition, addresses resident and family concerns, responds to resident special requests, and acts as a liaison with community providers.
This role requires genuine interest in residents with dementia and patience when working with residents, families and visitors. This position operates under current federal/state regulations and company policies and procedures.
The Reflections Coordinator is responsible for managing all facets of service to address resident care needs in the Memory Care Community. The role includes hiring, training, supervising, and scheduling caregiver and med tech coverage; assisting with budgeting; and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.

- Manage staffing needs by interviewing, hiring, training, supervising, and scheduling caregiver and med tech coverage.
- Assist the Business Office Manager with new hire paperwork, attendance tracking, time sheets, employee evaluations, and budgeting for staffing.
- Identify staff educational needs, including orientation training, weekly mini-modules, and mandatory in-service meetings for memory care staff.
- Conduct training for dementia-related behaviors and interventions.
- Educate care staff about resident needs, negotiated service plans, and task/assignment sheets.
- Observe and report symptoms and changes in resident condition to the Wellness Director.
- Assist in administering medications and document reactions.
- Maintain records reflecting residents’ conditions.
- Supervise and coordinate delivery of care, ensuring resident needs are addressed.
- Demonstrate problem-solving and adaptability within Morning Star’s standards.
- Promote teamwork across departments.
- Ensure changes in residents’ conditions are reported and documented on the Daily Log.
- Prepare and administer medications per procedure.
- Develop and update negotiated service plans, assessments, and task sheets in collaboration with other departments at move-in or change of condition, and every 3 months.
- Maintain ongoing communication with residents and families regarding care needs and provide counseling as needed.
- Ensure infection control guidelines are met and supply inventory is maintained.
- Report suspected resident abuse immediately and complete incident reports within 24 hours per guidelines.
- Complete the incident tracker monthly and coordinate interventions and QA/safety reviews.
- Coordinate state-required training with the Wellness Director to meet regulatory requirements.
- Support resident participation in activities and provide additional one-on-one time as needed.
- Coordinate with Life Enrichment for dementia-focused daily activity schedules and ensure inclusion in the resident service plan.

Completion of State-approved Medication Administration training and current first aid certificate. - Education/
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of health-related experience including caring for people with dementia or supervisory/management experience with dementia care. - Job Knowledge:
Knowledge of dementia care procedures, universal precautions, and negotiated care plans. - Other:
Ability to read and interpret safety and operating documents; strong English communication skills; ability to follow written and oral directions; provide maximum resident-care services within delegated tasks. - Team members scheduled to work 24+ hours per week are eligible for benefits; families of such team members share eligibility.
