Job Description
** Position Summary
** A Cultural Resources Specialist position is being advertised with the Center for Environmental Management of Military Lands (CEMML) to provide administrative support and technical assistance for a variety of activities associated with the Air Force Sentinel Program. This position directly supports the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center’s Sentinel System Program Office (Sentinel SPO).

** Brief Work Unit Description
** CEMML is a research, education and service unit within the Warner College of Natural Resources at Colorado State University (CSU). CEMML applies the latest and most appropriate science to promote the sustainable management of natural and cultural resources on Department of Defense (DoD) and other public lands. We provide technical support, conduct applied research, and offer career development and learning opportunities to support resource stewardship.

Job Duties ** (5 maximum)
* Provide subject matter expertise related to cultural resources management.
* Assist with reviewing project documents (work plans, schedules, and technical reports); assist with technical report reviews and revisions; assist with media and advocacy materials; and provide technical assistance regarding regulatory compliance documentation and consultation.
* Support administrative oversight and monitoring on behalf of the Sentinel SPO, and routinely interface with CEMML Cultural Resources Specialists and other mission partners involved with the Air Force Sentinel program.

* * Minimum Qualifications
*** BA/BS in anthropology, archaeology, or related field.
* At least 3-years of relevant field and laboratory experience.
* Professional experience working with a wide range of data and information, maintaining organized details, and consistently meeting deadlines.
* Working familiarity with and regulations that govern cultural resources management
* Demonstrated field experience with prehistoric and historic archaeological resources.
* Familiarity with Department of Defense mission, and military culture in general.
* Have a thorough understanding of most standard computer programs.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
** Preferred Qualifications
*** Demonstrated familiarity with cultural resource issues on U.S. military installations and knowledge of Department of Defense policies and processes relating to cultural resources management and government-to-government Tribal consultation.
* Experience working in highly structured organizations such as governmental agencies or the military with clearly established lines of authority, procedures, and protocols is desirable.
* Demonstrated experience successfully managing administrative tasks
* Demonstrated experience assisting with complex projects and tracking tasks, timelines, and deliverables to ensure on-time completion.
* Working knowledge of ESRI GIS products
* Previous work on projects at Hill Air Force Base, UT;
Malmstrom Air Force Base, MT;
Minot Air Force Base, ND, or F.E. Warren Air Force Base, WY; and/or prior experience supporting the Sentinel or Minuteman III programs.# Salary Range $45-$60 per…
