Job Description:

Floorplan Design Automation Engineer

Broadcom is a world class semiconductor ASIC provider. We provide first time correct on schedule ASIC designs by relying on proven flows and methodology. As a Floorplan Design Automation Engineer you will join a highly skilled team of engineers that own and provide the flows that enable our ASIC design teams. This position would focus on developing, testing, and enhancing our floor planning methodology and flow.

Responsibilities would include automation tasks around 3D flow development and testing, bump insertion, clock planning, power planning and insertion, route and pin planning and quality of results analysis. An ideal candidate would be someone who would recognize and utilize the resources available in existing solutions and apply them to new problems. This person should be adept in doing whatever it takes to root cause issues and apply problem solving skills to address the problems.

This person would also be someone whose solutions are designed to be easily maintained and adapted to future process needs with minimal effort.

Qualifications:

* BS in Electrical/Computer/Software Engineering and/or Computer Science and 8+ years of related work experience.

* Programming

Languages:

TCL, Ruby, BASH

* EDA Tools:
Innovus, Integrity3D

* Professional, open, and highly self-motivated attitude

* Ideally you are also experienced in:

Semiconductor Floor planning

Design Automation and Flows development

Linux

Job Description:

Compensation and Benefits

The annual base salary range for this position is $108,000 - $172,800.

This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
