PositionR&D Graphics Component Engineer. We are seeking a talented Graphics Component Engineer with a minimum of 3 years of experience, specializing in GPU technology and system integration. The candidate must have detailed knowledge of current GPU technologies, PC/Server x86 hardware architectures and have sufficient software/firmware skills to analyze and debug system integration issues. This is an execution focused, hands‑on position, with responsibility for qualifying, performance benchmarking and releasing leading edge PCIe graphics components.
The position requires deep collaboration with a cross‑functional team including Architecture Planning, Technical Marketing, Platform Development and System Management. This position is based in Fort Collins, Colorado.
Key Responsibilities Technical Ownership & Strategy- Develop and maintain deep expertise in GPU architecture, graphics roadmaps and industry trends relevant to workstation workflows.
- Act as the technical liaison to key GPU partners (NVIDIA, AMD, Intel), driving alignment and resolving issues throughout the development lifecycle.
- Lead end‑to‑end qualification, integration and release of professional PCIe graphics components for the Z Workstation portfolio.
- Own graphics deliverables through HP’s content management and release processes, ensuring high‑quality component delivery.
- Lead triage and resolution of hardware, firmware, driver and performance issues in collaboration with suppliers and internal engineering teams.
- Develop, refine and maintain regression tests to detect issues early and ensure platform stability.
- Use industry‑standard, proprietary and application‑based tools to measure, validate and report GPU performance across sustaining and new workstation platforms.
- Analyze performance deltas, identify anomalies and work with partners to ensure optimal graphics performance for target workflows.
- Represent HP as technical interface to GPU development partners.
- Partner with Architecture Planning, Platform Development, System Management and Technical Marketing to drive on‑time GPU integration and product readiness.
- Provide technical expertise to customer‑facing teams, including direct customer engagement, field quality and pre‑sales opportunities when required.
- Collaborate with Marketing to deliver performance claims, competitive positioning and product launch collateral.
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or significant equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3 years of GPU engineering and system integration experience on leading edge x86 (PC/Server HW) architectures.
- Proven ability to work effectively and lead in a cross‑functional environment.
- Proven ability to productively work with customers and partners.
- Experience managing complex technical issues and driving them to resolution.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
