Responsibilities- Review plans, specifications and submittals to accurately design and coordinate plumbing, piping, and sheet metal systems.
- Identify and communicate any design issues to engineers and GC’s, ensuring seamless integration of all systems.
- Collaborate closely with engineers from the conceptual design phase through to the final drawing and detailing of mechanical systems in a design‑build environment.
- Create clear and precise drawings that serve as a guide for field teams to efficiently install and prefabricate systems.
- Use Fabrication CADmep to detail jobs, download shop drawings to the fabrication shop, and order materials from CAD generated material lists.
- Communicate with engineers and field foremen, help project managers review submittals, and find the cleanest and cost‑effective route for all systems.
- High School Diploma required.
- 2–3 years related experience; 3–5 years field foremen experience preferred.
- Willingness to attend Fabrication CADmep, AutoCAD and Revit training.
- Ability to read and understand all construction plans and specifications.
- Ability to read and review all submittals and make corrections.
- Ability to enter a job site and verify existing conditions.
- Position is largely sedentary, some walking, bending, and standing.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Work at a computer for extended periods of time.
- Successfully pass a background check, drug screening, and employment verification.
