• Lead design and construction of hydraulic tunnel projects in the Central and West Regions.
• Support design teams and oversee all aspects of trenchless discipline and multi‑benefit projects with high technical complexity.
• Build and maintain client relations and participate in project development and contract document preparation.
• Participate in technical advancement and corporate management of HDR’s tunnel/trenchless program, working with national Business Class Director and technical leads.
• Support overall quality control, manage project delivery risk, and participate in go/no‑go process during project pursuit.

• Master’s degree in engineering or related field.
• U.S. focused tunneling design and construction experience.
• Experience leading design and construction of tunnels and underground facilities for major projects.
• Rock mechanics, soil mechanics, and geotechnical engineering expertise.
• Industry‑facing publication and presentation track record.
• Ph.D. in engineering or related field (preferred).
• Marketing and business development skills with contacts in the discipline.
• Numerical analysis experience (e.g., FLAC, UDEC, PLAXIS).

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• 10 years related experience.
• Minimum 5 years project management experience.
• Professional engineering license recognized in the location.
• MS Office and MS Project experience.
• Leadership, business development, and strategic planning skills.
