Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit
The Department of Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Hospitality & Tourism (MEHT) consists of 17 full-time faculty members. The department serves over 500 undergraduate students and offers three Bachelor of Science degrees in:
Marketing, Entrepreneurship, and Hospitality and Tourism Management. All three degrees are offered online and on campus. Additionally, the Department delivers courses in the undergraduate business core, and the MBA program. The North Carolina Sales Institute is also associated with the Department. The faculty members in the Department are very active in research and in the recent past and have published in such journals as Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Marketing, Annals of Tourism Research, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Management Studies, and Tourism Management to name a few.
The Bryan School of Business and Economics has 4,765 undergraduate and graduate students and more than 130 full- and part-time faculty members housed in six departments and programs. Accredited in both business and accounting by AACSB, the Bryan School is the recipient of many rankings, honors, and accolades, and the faculty are active in research. The Bryan School has two dedicated recording studios and two dedicated HyFlex (studio) classrooms to support its extensive asynchronous online offerings and the growing opportunity for synchronous online offerings.

Position Summary
The Department of Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Hospitality & Tourism (MEHT) in the Bryan School of Business & Economics at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG) invites applications, expressions of interest, and nominations for up to two full-time position. The position will commence on August 1, 2026, at the rank of Lecturer (non-tenure-track).
The position will be slated to teach four courses each semester, with instructional responsibilities in the areas of advertising and promotions, marketing management, digital marketing, sports marketing, and innovation, (depending on departmental needs and faculty qualifications). The selected candidate must be prepared to teach face-to-face and online courses, as needed by the Department. Teaching online courses is required, and service to the university and to the academic and/or practicing professions is also expected.
This is not a remote work position and upon hire, those selected must reside in North Carolina or within a reasonable commuting distance of it.
The successful candidate will serve as a bridge between the Bryan School and the business community. We expect this person to be instrumental in securing internships and job placements for our students by collaborating with businesses.
