University Professor, Guidance Counselor: Social/Educational, Adult Education, Academic
Position Summary
The School of Education seeks applications between January 1, 2026 - June 30, 2026, from individuals who are interested in securing temporary instructor positions within the Counseling and Career Development program for the 2025 - 2026 academic year.
ResponsibilitiesInstructors teach face-to-face graduate-level courses in areas of their expertise and are hired periodically for fall, spring, and/or summer term, contingent upon enrollments and need. Successful candidates may also be asked to provide clinical supervision and coordination of students practicum and/or internship experiences. Reappointment may depend upon performance and the availability of funding.

QualificationsRequired
- Earned masters degree in counseling or counselor education
- Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado, Licensed Professional Counselor Eligible in Colorado, and/or Colorado Educator License - Professional School Counselor Endorsement
- Evidence of excellence in teaching and/or clinical supervision in the areas of Counseling and Career Development curriculum
Preferred
- Earned doctorate degree from a CACREP accredited program
- Experience teaching graduate students via face-to-face and distance technologies
- Training and experience in counseling with diverse populations
- Evidence of or potential for scholarship and publication commensurate with a research university
This is an open pool posting. Applications will be reviewed as hiring needs arise, and qualified applicants may be contacted by individual faculty members if a suitable opportunity becomes available. Salary and BenefitsSalary: $1,666.67 per credit hour instruction; $50,000 base salary
