Job Title: Substitute Teacher

Reports To: Principal

Location: Academy of Arts and Knowledge

AAK is seeking dedicated and flexible Substitute Teachers to join our team. Substitute Teachers play a vital role in maintaining continuity of instruction and supporting student learning when the classroom teacher is absent. The ideal candidate will foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment aligned with AAK's mission and values.

• Provide classroom instruction and supervision in accordance with lesson plans provided by the regular teacher.
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the needs of students.
• Maintain classroom routines, expectations, and a positive learning environment.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all students during instructional and non-instructional times.
• Manage student behavior in alignment with school policies and procedures.
• Communicate with school staff regarding student needs, progress, or concerns as appropriate.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by school administration

• High school diploma or equivalent required;
  Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience working with groups of children required. Experience in an educational setting preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Commitment to creating a supportive and respectful learning environment.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of different grade levels and subject areas.

• On-call, as needed.
• Assignments may vary in length from a single day to multiple days.

• $20.00 per hour
