Client Accounts Manager

A well-respected client is seeking a CAS MANAGER due to the growth in their firm. Are you an experienced individual with a knack for numbers and client services? Then look no further, because we have the perfect opportunity for you!

✅ Own a portfolio of ~45–80 monthly accounting clients and ~80–100+ tax clients like it’s your own firm.

• Team Leadership
  • Supervise, train, and review bookkeepers.
  • Track production, workflow, and time efficiency.
  • Hold weekly status meetings and address performance gaps early.
• Client Management
  • Maintain regular client contact and respond same-day.
  • Review monthly financials quickly (within 1 business day).
  • Monitor client profitability and discuss fee adjustments when needed.
  • Visit each client annually and handle tax/accounting questions.
  • Request referrals to replace any clients who drop. (Yes, you have to ask.)
• Onboarding New Clients
  • Lead initial strategy sessions and handle setup.
  • Process first 1–2 months yourself before transitioning to a bookkeeper.
  • Complete cleanup/backwork and ensure reporting is accurate before handoff.
• Tax Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review business and individual returns.
  • Maintain workflows, planning notes, and time vs. fee logs.
  • Manage quarterly estimates and year-end planning to avoid client “surprise taxes.”
  • Handle notices and correspondence with federal/state/local agencies.
• Operations & Compliance
  • Run weekly check-ins with the owner and team.
  • Support accounting software (QBO/Xero) conversions and updates.
  • Coordinate with vendors and IT.
  • Complete 40+ hours of CPE annually and attend required trainings.

• 4+ years of strong tax experience
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or EA designation, or working towards
• Experience working with Quickbooks
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
