The Service Order Dispatcher supports the Directorate of Public Works (DPW) Service Order Desk (SOD) at Fort Carson, Colorado, by coordinating incoming service requests and ensuring that work is assigned and completed efficiently. This role receives and records customer information, prepares service work orders, and communicates with field crews to schedule and dispatch service calls. It requires strong attention to detail, clear communication, and the ability to manage multiple requests dispatcher maintains accurate records of all service activity and follows up with customers to confirm that services were completed to their satisfaction.
Daily responsibilities include relaying instructions to mobile crews, updating schedules as needs change, and supporting smooth communication between customers, technicians, and internal departments.
Key functions include:
- Preparing and distributing work orders with accurate service details.
- Scheduling service calls and assigning crews based on priority and availability.
- Communicating updates and instructions to field teams via phone, radio, or mobile devices.
- Maintaining organized records of service calls, work orders, and customer interactions.
- Following up with customers to ensure service quality and satisfaction.
This position works closely with both customers and service technicians and requires professionalism, organization, and the ability to adapt to changing demands.
All Contractor personnel performing work under this contract must complete a favorable background investigation and be eligible to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Common Access Card (CAC).
