Overview
The Aircraft Mechanic I is an aircraft electrician/avionics mechanic on the aircraft Modification Work Order team in the passback hangar.
Responsibilities- This mechanic will be required to repair and replace aircraft wiring and replace aircraft electrical/avionic components as instructed in technical publications, IETMS, and modification work orders.
- The mechanic will be required to build and terminate wiring harnesses of varying complexity and lengths.
- Will build and assemble MWO kits and components.
- This worker reads schematics, interprets maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to test, validate, and install aircraft modifications.
- This mechanic must be able to work independently or with a small group with little supervision.
- Must be able to perform administrative actions when it comes to aircraft forms and records, part ordering, and other actions on information systems being utilized by the customer.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a secret security clearance.
- Must have own tools/toolbox.
- 6+ years experience in Army aviation. SOF aviation experience is desirable.
- Previous MWO experience is desirable.
- Experience with ACN or other electronic logbook systems.
- Experience using multi-meters and other electrical test equipment.
- Must have or be able to pass Basic solder certification.
- Must be able to pass solder vision testing.
- Must be able to pass a basic physical to operate/drive equipment.
